Vacation Planner: The Joint Committee between UNA & the Employer has made their recommendations regarding vacation planning guidelines for the vacation planner. Please click on the link below to view.
Sick Leave Policy Grievance (#050167): Arbitrator Andrew Sims has given the award to UNA on this policy. The Non Work related Injury forms are to no longer be used as they violate an Employee's right to privacy & the Collective Agreement. Anyone having concerns please contact a Local 37 Executive Officer.
Seniority and Special Leave:
The Union still gets a number of questions from both Employees and front-line Managers about the new Seniority and Special Leave provisions (Articles 12 & 22). Detailed analyses of both Articles were issued as Memos last year (2004) by David Harrigan, UNA's Director of Labour Relations; to deal with these questions, copies of both Memos (in pdf format) have been posted on our web site.
